It preserves the hydrolipidic film

A good cleanser should remove unwanted residues without damaging the hydrolipidic film, essential to defend the skin against external aggressions. For this, the formulation, and in particular the choice and dosage of surfactants, is essential. Sulfates (known to be irritating surfactants) are very often present in these products. If they are in small amounts and combined with other softer surfactants, this is not a problem for the skin. Especially if, to counteract their effects, the formula also contains lipid-replenishing agents, such as vegetal oils. The surfactants in the formulas improve the natural preservation of this type of product. They are therefore most often without preservatives, even if they are 90% water.

It removes all impurities

This is the role of washing agents (or surfactants) of synthesis (sulphates) or of plant origin (such as Cocamidopropyl betaine).

They are most often assembled in order to obtain an effective formula, which eliminates the dirt fixed on the hydrolipidic film: the pigments of the make-up, the toxins released by the skin, the dust, as well as the polluting particles. All without “stripping” the epidermis.

It deals with some problems

Some cleansing gels may also contain active and more targeted ingredients: for example, zinc and copper sanitizers, intended for combination skin and fat, orthermal water or floral to soothe dry and sensitive skin.

It limits tightness

Moisturizing and softening active ingredients, such as glycerin oraloe vera, are present in the cleansing gel formula, to make the skin softer and more comfortable after rinsing. Agents such as citric acid also make it possible to neutralize the sensations of tightness caused by the presence of lime in the water.
